1. Who we are

Rental World is run by Mama Alludu Rentals, Maa Sai Nivasam, Plot No. 12, Kethana Avenue, opp. Vasanth Vihar A.C. Function Hall, Fathullaguda, Nagole, Uppal, Hyderabad, Telangana 500068 ("we"). We decide how and why your personal data is used, so under the DPDP Act we are the "Data Fiduciary". A short version of this policy is in our privacy notice.

2. What we collect

Enquiry details you give in our website form: name, mobile number, occasion, date, town or area, and what you need.
Messages and calls on WhatsApp and phone: your number, name on the account and what you tell us.
Booking details: the items, dates, address for delivery (if any), payments (UPI or bank reference, not card numbers), and deposit refunds.
ID proof: a copy or details of one government ID, to protect our items.
Technical data: our hosting provider records basic request logs (IP address, browser, time, page) for security and to keep the site running.
Cookie choice: a cookie remembering your cookie settings. Google Maps cookies only if you allow maps. See our cookie policy.

We do not collect card numbers, passwords or sensitive personal data such as health information through this website.

3. Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and confirm availability and prices (with your consent, which you give by sending the enquiry).
To complete and manage your rental: handover, transport, returns, deposits and refunds.
To protect our items and prevent fraud, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
To keep the website secure and working, including blocking spam.
To send you offers on WhatsApp only if you ask to receive them. You can stop them at any time.

We never sell your personal data. We share it only when needed:

Service providers who work for us: website hosting (Vercel), WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us, and transport partners (auto, cab or truck drivers) who need your name, number and address for a delivery.
Payment providers (your UPI app or bank) to process payments and refunds.
Authorities if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, for example if an item is not returned.

Some providers may process data outside India. We use reputable providers and share only what they need.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 6 months.
ID copies: until the rental is closed and the deposit settled, then deleted, unless needed for a dispute.
Booking and payment records: as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually up to 8 years).
Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security.

6. How we protect it

We use reasonable security safeguards: the website runs only over HTTPS, the enquiry form has spam protection, access to booking records and ID copies is limited to people who need it, and we delete data we no longer need. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected people as the law requires.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
ask us to correct, complete or update it;
ask us to erase it, unless we must keep it by law;
withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. This doesn't affect anything done before;
nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to; and
raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use these rights, contact our grievance officer (below). We may need to confirm your identity.

8. Children

Our rentals and this website are for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

9. Cookies

We use one necessary cookie to remember your cookie choice. Google Maps loads only if you allow it. We don't use advertising cookies. Change your choice any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer. Details are in our cookie policy.

We will acknowledge your request promptly and respond within 30 days, and in any case within the time set by law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you.
