Renting vs buying, in numbers
A beginner acoustic guitar such as the Kadence Frontier is listed at ₹5,299 by one large Indian music store (July 2026; prices vary). Renting our acoustic guitar costs ₹2,000 for a week or ₹3,500 for 15 days.
So a week of rent is about 38% of the price of buying, and 15 days about 66%. Renting makes sense for a trial, a short course, a gig or a photoshoot. For lessons that last months, buying is the better deal.
- Rent if you're not sure you'll keep practising, you need it for one show, reel or photoshoot, or you're in Hyderabad for a few weeks.
- Rent first, then buy, if the learner is a child who might lose interest. A week tells you a lot.
- Buy straight away if you've already been learning on a borrowed guitar and you're committed.
Which guitar to rent
For lessons and campfires, the acoustic guitar (₹500 a day). For a stage or a bigger room, the Kadence semi-acoustic (₹700 a day) plugs into an amplifier or sound system. For a college band or a gig, the Givson electric (₹1,200 a day) or the Ibanez (₹1,500 a day) with our guitar amplifier (₹500 a day).
Flying in for a gig?
Guitarists travelling to Hyderabad for a show often rent here instead of carrying a guitar on a flight. The Ibanez electric is ₹1,500 a day; add the Zoom G1X Four processor (₹1,200 a day) if you'd rather not bring your pedals.
