Karthika Masam 2026: pooja, vratham and vana bhojanam items you can rent in Hyderabad

For Karthika Masam (10 November to 8 December 2026) you can rent a vratham peetam (₹500 a day), a homam kundi (₹500–999), a guru peetam (₹1,500), flowers and backdrop cloths (₹1,500–2,500), a harmonium (₹900) for bhajans, and games with a battery speaker for a vana bhojanam, from Rental World in Nagole, open 24/7.

Karthika Masam is the month of Somavaram poojas, Karthika deepam, vratams and vana bhojanam picnics. In 2026 it runs from Tuesday 10 November to Tuesday 8 December, with Karthika Pournami on Tuesday 24 November.

The things worth renting are the big ones you use for a morning or an evening and then store for a year: peetams, the homam kundi, the harmonium, sound and games. Lamps, oil, flowers for the pooja and the samagri your purohit lists are still bought fresh.

Somavarams and Karthika Pournami are popular days for poojas, so book items for those dates 2–3 days ahead.

For a Satyanarayana vratham: peetam, flowers and a mic

Many families hold a Satyanarayana vratham during Karthika Masam. The vratham peetam is ₹500 a day with a ₹2,000 deposit, and it is the one large item the vratham needs that most homes don't keep.

Artificial flowers, garlands and background cloths (₹1,500–2,500 a day) dress the pooja corner or a backdrop for photos and look the same from the first prayer to the last photo. When relatives fill more than one room, a mic on a stand (₹400 a day) lets everyone follow the katha.

For a homam: homam kundi and guru peetam

The homam kundi comes in a small and a big size, ₹500–999 a day with a ₹2,000 deposit. Ask your purohit which size suits the homam and the space you have.

The guru peetam (₹1,500 a day, ₹5,000 deposit) seats the purohit or an elder being honoured at the pooja.

For evening bhajans through the month

Bhajan groups and apartment communities often meet in the evenings during Karthika Masam. The harmonium is ₹900 a day; for the whole month it's cheaper by the week (₹3,600) or 15 days (₹6,300), and we quote a monthly rent on request.

The bhajan setup package (₹2,000 a day) brings the tabla, dholak, ghungroo, manjira, shakers, khanjari and jhikas in one booking. A wooden shruti box (₹400 a day) holds the pitch for the singers.

For a vana bhojanam: games and a battery speaker

A vana bhojanam is the Karthika Masam meal shared outdoors under an amla tree, usually on a Sunday or a holiday in the month. Families and apartment groups spend the afternoon together, so games and music make the day.

Rent a cricket kit (₹1,200 a day), a carrom board with stand (₹350) and a tambola set (₹150) for every age. Gardens rarely have a power point, so the trolley sound box with its own amplifier and 3–4 hours of battery backup (₹900 a day) handles music and announcements.

That's ₹2,400 a day at the lowest rates, plus transport. For a vana bhojanam, the cricket kit, carrom board, tambola set and trolley sound box come to ₹2,600 a day.

Deposits are paid by UPI or bank transfer when you book and refunded within 24 hours of return.

How booking works

  1. Ask on WhatsApp with the item and your date. We reply with availability and the total.
  2. Pay the refundable deposit by UPI or bank transfer and share one government ID (Aadhaar, PAN, passport or driving licence).
  3. Collect it from our place in Fathullaguda, Nagole at any hour, or we send it anywhere in Hyderabad and Telangana by a vehicle you or we book. You pay the transport, both ways.
  4. Return it. We check it together, and your deposit is back within 24 hours.
