Ayyappa padi pooja in Hyderabad: bhajan setup, sound and pooja items on rent

For an Ayyappa padi pooja or bhajan in Hyderabad you can rent the bhajan setup package (₹2,000 a day: tabla, dholak, ghungroo, manjira, shakers, khanjari and jhikas), a harmonium (₹900), a wooden shruti box (₹400), a trolley sound box with battery backup (₹900), mics (₹400) and a guru peetam (₹1,500), from Rental World in Nagole, open 24/7.

The Sabarimala Mandala season is expected to begin on Tuesday 17 November 2026, and many Ayyappa devotees start their 41-day vratham around then. Group bhajans and padi poojas at homes, temples and apartment halls carry on through the season, which is expected to close after Makaravilakku on Thursday 14 January 2027.

The Guru Swamy leads the padi pooja and decides the arrangements. We don't rent the padi itself; what we rent is the music and sound for the bhajans, and the seating and decoration for the pooja.

The Travancore Devaswom Board publishes the final schedule. Your Guru Swamy sets the day of mala dharana and the padi pooja.

For the bhajans: every instrument in one booking

The bhajan setup package (₹2,000 a day, ₹10,000 deposit) brings the tabla, dholak, ghungroo, manjira, shakers, khanjari and jhikas, so the group has every rhythm instrument in one booking.

A harmonium (₹900 a day) leads the singing, and a wooden shruti box (₹400 a day) holds the pitch. For bhajans every evening of the season, the harmonium is cheaper by the week (₹3,600) or 15 days (₹6,300), and we quote a monthly rent on request.

Sound for a hall, a terrace or a pandal

The trolley sound box (₹900 a day) has its own amplifier and 3–4 hours of battery backup, so the bhajan carries on where there's no power point. Add mics with stands (₹400 a day) for the lead singers, or the Ahuja set of two cordless mics (₹1,200 a day).

For a bigger gathering, one QSC 1000W speaker (₹2,000 a day) fills a hall.

For the pooja: guru peetam, peetam and decoration

The guru peetam (₹1,500 a day, ₹5,000 deposit) can seat the Guru Swamy or an elder being honoured. A vratham peetam (₹500 a day) and artificial flowers, garlands and background cloths (₹1,500–2,500 a day) dress the pooja place and the backdrop for photos.

What it adds up to

At our day rates:

  • Bhajan evening: bhajan setup + harmonium + trolley sound box + mics with stands = ₹4,200 a day.
  • Padi pooja at home: the same, plus a guru peetam and flowers = from ₹7,200 a day.

Add transport both ways. Deposits are paid by UPI or bank transfer when you book and refunded within 24 hours of return.
